Dear Friends, Volunteers and Associates:
Please accept this letter of support on behalf of Mike Bartlett, candidate for Orange County Superior Court Judge, Office 4 as my personal recommendation and vote of confidence toward his election on June 3rd.
Mike has been an active Republican. He has the values and principles in which my wife Dianne and I believe. With his 32 years of experience as a trial lawyer and legal counselor, Mike has earned the respect, trust and confidence of his peers.
Mike is a proud graduate of USC and received his law degree from Pepperdine Law School. He is a Vietnam era Navy veteran who is active with veterans groups and foundations that honor those who served and sacrificed for America.
Recently, Mike received the prestigious endorsement of the Lincoln Club, validating his commitment to Republican ideals and philosophy. The Lincoln Club endorsement highlighted Mike's efforts over the last five months of the campaign. He has also garnered the backing of the OC Young Republicans.
Mike supports the death penalty, is committed to enforcing the 3-strikes law, backed Proposition 69 (DNA samples from convicted felons) and supports law enforcements efforts to arrest and prosecute gang members and drug dealers. You can depend on Mike to do everything possible to safeguard our communities. He is adamant about keeping children safe from sexual predators and outspoken in his support for efforts to protect our senior citizens from identity theft and exploitation. He is a proud member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
I am honored to endorse Mike Bartlett for Orange County Judge. Joining me in endorsing Mike are Congressman John Campbell, Assemblyman Van Tran, OC Supervisors Pat Bates, Bill Campbell and Chris Norby, mayors, council members, law enforcement leaders and judges. When you fill out your absentee ballot or vote at the poll on June 3rd, I encourage you to vote for Mike Bartlett for Judge of the Orange County Superior Court.
Sincerely,
Tom Harman
Senator, 35th District

Candidate for Superior Court Judge, Mike Bartlett, savored his kick-off campaign event in true Hollywood style and Oscar hospitality with at a “Pre-Oscar” party at Hennessey’s Tavern in Dana Point on Friday evening, February 22. A standing room only crowd of more than 100 attended the event, hosted by owner Paul Hennessey.
With tongue-in-cheek invitations and a send up of the George Clooney legal thriller Michael Clayton, campaign staffers spun the gala event into a red-carpet gala premier for judicial candidate, Michael Bartlett. “Paparazzi” shot the party, with attendees getting into the “Oscar” spirit. The well-attended event had the look and feel of a Hollywood celebrity party.
The candidate’s wife and Dana Point Mayor Pro Tem, Lisa Bartlett, introduced numerous dignitaries, including the mayors of both Dana Point and Laguna Niguel, as well as two candidates for sheriff. Judge John Adams introduced Michael Bartlett, who gave an inspiring speech to an appreciative audience. Bartlett reminisced about his long and distinguished family history, dating to Washington Bartlett, California’s 16th Governor. He went on to describe his goals as judge – to be fair and firm, to follow the law, and to ensure that justice is administered properly from the bench.
Bartlett, a long time business trial attorney, is the former city attorney for San Clemente and the former deputy city attorney for both Laguna Beach and Stanton. One of two candidates for Superior Court Judge, Office #4, Bartlett will bring much needed civil trial experience to the bench.
